So far I've taken SAT II Chemistry, Math Ic, Math 2c and gotten 800 on each.

Caltech requires three, (right?) but it looks seedy/cheap with two math SAT II's, especially since I consider myself a math person.

Should I take another SAT II?

Yes, it would probably be a good idea. (And it's probably kinda sketchy using Ic to fulfill the requirement.)

All right, thanks. I'm already signed up for Physics (but need to study waves/light/heat, which I never covered in AP Physics C, that's what held me back).....
Hopefully, I can get another good score.

Wait. I just saw that Caltech only required two. Should I still take Physics?

"What tests do you require?

The SAT: Critical Reading, Math, and Writing

OR the old SAT I: Verbal and Math

OR the ACT (with or without the optional writing section)

AND

Subject Test: Mathematics Level 2
One of the following Subject Tests:
Biology (Ecological), Biology (Molecular), Chemistry, or Physics"

Oh nevermind, I was thinking based on the old requirements that were recently changed to the ones you posted. What you have will suffice. : )

If I took Physics and got say, a 700-750, would that hurt me? I realy have not covered like 20% of the material since I never took AP Physics B.

On the application, do I (should I?) even have to list my Physics score if it was in that range? Could I just put down my math and chemistry scores?

Applicant A has over 700 in physics, and applicant B didn't submit a score. Who's going to get in assuming everything else is equal? As far as anyone knows, applicant B might get a 600 or 500 physics. Ben would know better but I simply don't see how submitting the score could hurt.

a lot of schools require three. just do three and be safe. math english and physics were mine

just submit your three highest scores satisfying the requirements.

(the question is a bit moot because any tests you've taken we see)

if you have straight 8's and you might take another one and get sub-8, though you don't strictly need the other one for anything, don't take the other one.
