<p>Definitely take the US history SATII if you are taking APUSH. My daughter did not do this because she was told that very few colleges require SATIIs and as a sophomore she wasn't really thinking about it - she thought the AP would be enough.
Now she's a senior and her top school is Georgetown which requires 3 SATIIs and she had to scramble to get them. She took Bio after AP Bio and while she got a 4 on the AP she didn't do as well on the SATII. She also tried Math and didn't do so well on that. Then she had to pick a third and just took the English (and re-took Biology). It's such a scam - same testing board as AP so shouldn't the AP test be enough for the colleges - she's taken 4 APs already and got two fives and two fours.</p>
