Hey, I just took the SAT II: Writing for the second time and got a 620 (kinda ****ed). I had previously gotten a 670. Im applying to some ivies and ivy-type schools and this is by far the weakest thing in my application. My other SAT IIs that I would send in are Physics 800, Math IIC 780, and Chemistry 730 (9th grade). I know some schools Im applying to like Columbia require the writing so is a 670 going to a really hurt my chances? Also, if I send in those other three tests without the writing to other schools that dont require writing, will they think Im one-dimensional, even though I dont think I really am?

i am worried 2, i dropped 2
bio went down 10 points to 620 (so i am kind of ****ed 2)
780 on IIc
700 writing
600V 800M
applied to 3 ivies, hoping for penn and dartmouth and cornell to accept me, but scores maybe a little low, good luck to you JRP123, i know i'll need it

Thanks, Good luck to you also. Anyone else?

bumppppppppp

If you're applying for engineering, I don't think a 670 in Writing is going to hurt tremendously. I'd say it's close to the norm for engineering schools.
