SAT II's

I believe UVa requires 2 SAT II's...correct? Can anyone very knowledgeable about this clarify what UVa wants regarding SAT II's?

I got 640 IIC, 650 USH, and 660 Physics last time. Does UVa expect 700+? If so, can I retake the SAT II in January? Thanks.

UVA does want 2 SAT II's, but IMO they primarily use them for placement issues--not really admissions. Like-if admitted, if you had taken a language one, it could be used to place out of that requirement (though doing well in a language AP would work too). Your scores are very respectable. I've always heard through the grapevine of college admissions (which I follow a lot for some bizarre reason) that if your scores are over 600, that's good and you should submit them. My SAT II's were in the mid 600's and I'm at UVA! I wouldn't retake them if I were you. It just sounds too painful.

SAT IIs are no longer required since the SAT got changed to include the writing section. SAT IIs are no "strong recommended". They can help you.
