My app isn't as competitive as I'd like it to be, so I'm trying to take some SAT II's, however, my scores leave a lot to be desired.

I'm in AP Biology right now, but on my Sparknotes tests I'm consistently getting 590's, I know, low. I'm definitely studying the rest of this week, and am expecting a 650-660. However, what I am wondering is if that's competitive or even worthy of reporting.

The same situation goes for Physics, which I will also be giving this upcoming saturday.

Anyone correct me if I am wrong, but I don’t think the SAT II’s have any impact on the admissions decision. I think they are for placement only.

Is this true? Because I have a few SAT II’s to take, and I don’t want to take them if I don’t necessarily have to…

SAT IIs are not required, but are strongly recommended, by U-Va admissions. I’d recommended providing them unless they’re truly awful. And, yes, they ARE counted for admissions and not just for placement.
