Hi. I'm applying to schools that require the SAT II, and others than don't. I am generally planning to send my ACT scores because they are a lot better than my SAT scores. My question is, do the SAT and SAT II scores need to be on the common app even when your planning to send schools only ACT scores? (and vice versa) Even if you plan to only send schools ACT scores, should you generally put all of your test scores (no matter how bad) on the commonapp to be safe?

You only need to self report the scores you will be sending to your schools.

But some schools actually require the SAT II’s regardless of whether or not you would be sending the ACT’s or the SAT I. Since the common app sends one universal application to ALL of the schools (including the one’s the require SAT II’s), would it be better to just put all of my scores from all of my standardized testing (up to this point) on the common app, and then only report specific scores to specific schools that require them the official way?

You can modify your common app for each school as needed. To do this, go to the Common App FAQ and there are step-by-step instructions.

I thought that once you submit the general application to the colleges, it was impossible to change it? (I’m planning to submit that general application to all of my choice colleges at once. Should I refrain from doing this and edit my application accordingly for each college?)
