<p>Read. A lot. Pick things that interest you and that aren't too hard for you, but choose writers who are good at writing, not just writers who write about things that interest you. If you don't know where to find such writers, start by asking people who read for recommendations. (Librarians are usually great at recommending things.) Spend time trying to get a clear picture in your mind of exactly what's being described. If you can't get a clear picture, try to find someone who is a better reader than you are and have them explain how they get a clear picture. Note words you don't fully understand and look them up.</p>
<p>Not only will this help you on the test, but it will help you out when it comes to reading material your professors assign you in college.</p>
