Please post your SAT score in 7th or 8th grade, and the score that you got in high school.

I want to see if there are any improvements, or if there is absolutely no correlation between doing well in middle school and doing well in high school.

You're definitely going to improve between middle school and high school. That's a given. For some people there may be a correlation, but really, it's not significant, not something to worry about. Just prep for it when you take the SAT in high school.

7th grade: 1130
8th grade: 1150
11th grade: 1500/2180

DANG YOU'RE SMARTTTTTTTTT ckmets13!!
Oh why take the SAT in 7th/8th grade? What's the point?

most people on CC have SAT scores of mine or higher for 7th and 8th grade. The reason to take it is for JHU CTY or Duke TIP programs.

ckmets13, what did you do in order to study for the CR section?
I know reading a lot of books helps, but how did you memorize all the vocab?

i really didnt do much prep at all, i just read a decent amount but not anything special in terms of SAT prep besides reading vocab the morning of the test. My CR score went from 510 in 7th grade to 710 in 11th grade.

7th grade: 1170
8th grade: 1320
11/12th grade (out of 1600) 1590 (out of 2400) 2330

ckmets, so basically your score naturally grows over a time period?
do you think its mostly because of school vocab tests and such?

illumin4tus, what did you do for CR?

wow nice improvement from 7th to 8th grade

7th: 1230/1600
11th: 2390/2400

7th - 1070
10th - 2070 (1450)
11th - 2140 (1450)

composite out of 1600 - 1470

My son scored 1290 as an eighth grader (670 V, 620 M).
He scored 2310 as an eleventh grader (800 CR, 740 M, 770 W).

for CR, i pretty much looked at it from the point of view of common sense. you can pretty much guess a word's meaning by looking at it. analogies were the hardest but you won't have to worry about them. The reading I pretty much just very briefly skimmed the passage, read questions, found answers and moved on.

that and I did a sload of practice tests. and I mean a sload. With practice any jump is possible.

7th grd 700 11th grd 1700

7th grade: 890 (out of 1600)
8th grade: 980 (out of 1600)
11th grade: 2050 (out of 2400)

sixth grade 1200
junior 2400
evidently for every five years that pass, our scores double.

7th grade: 1180 (620 V, 580 M)
11th grade: 2340 (800 CR, 740 M, 800 W)

I took a lot of practice tests in between, also took some classes.

I can't even imagine taking the SATs in 7th or 8th grade. That's just too young.
