How can I prep for SAT in two weeks do you suggest focusing on the math section and writing and language section I took 2 SAT last December and I took one this February didn’t get a good score. But will taking practice test from blue book help and should I take practice test 6-8
If both your section scores are around the same, focus on math. It’s easier to improve in a short amount of time bc it’s quite straightforward. Look over your practice tests to see what you got wrong. For the math ones, find similar problems online and do about 10 of each type until you can get them right every time. For english questions, my AP Lang teacher made us write a paragraph explanation for each problem we got wrong on the AP lang practice test (which is pretty similar). We had to think about why we picked the answer we did and the logic behind the correct answer. I find that going over your own logic and comparing it to the reasoning behind the correct answer is a good way to improve on the language section.
Something that really helped my score:
I printed out practice exams and just dissected them. I took the reading portion in the allotted time, then I went back before looking at the answers and spent hours forcing myself to find the correct answer, until I went through the entire section and justified every single answer. Then I checked my answers, and if any were still wrong, I spent even more time trying to understand why.
Same idea for math, a bunch of practice questions and self checking. This helped me so much, can’t say its a technique that could fit everyone, but it raised my score by 280 points.
That was over 3 months, so I think in even 2 weeks it could be beneficial.
