So I decided to take literature on the day of the november SATs. That wasn't such a good idea as I didn't do too well. Today I got an email from collegeboard billing me for the additional subject test which I hadn't registered for. Instead of having to pay for a score I'm not gonna use can I not pay and have them delete the literature score?

Call them to make sure but I suspect you have to pay no matter what. You might be able to cancel if the deadline for canceling has not passed. If you don’t pay, I suspect you will not be able to send any of your scores or do any other transaction with them until you do so.

they don’t really care. it’s like 9 bucks, so they send you the invoice once and then don’t bother. and yes, you can do transactions after that.

I’m shocked. Collegeboard does not care about money? Is that from real personal experience?

they do call themselves a " not for profit institution" lol. Anyway on a more serious note I sent them an email on the issue. I’ve been told to expect a response within two business days

ttparent, yup i received an invoice once, could not figure out how to send them money from over here (europe), called them. received smth i could not comprehend. that was it. after that - registered for exams, chaged stuff, re-registered… all seems fine!

btw, as a member of a law firm that specialises in debt collections - there is simply no way anyone will care for those 9 bucks. court fees and attorney fees run thousands of dollars. does not balance out, does it? :)
