I took my first in March (1350) and second yesterday. My dilemma is that I have test taking anxiety I do not know how to cope with it. My timed practice test scores were 1370, 1480, and 1530. I did many practice tests that were untimed and did not get more than 3 wrong in each section at some point. However, yesterday I felt like I did barely a 1400. So I think I’ll take it again in October. Is three times frowned upon? I know I will improve from my 1350 but even a upward trend. Is three times one too many?
No, three times is fine. I’d guess it’s pretty common, actually.
The 1480 and 1530 are great scores! Keep practicing. I bet you’ll do well.
@Groundwork2022 great! thank you. I’m aiming for a 1500.
I’d say 3 times is fine, but any more than that, you start to raise red flags at the admissions departments. Just keep calm and carry on, you’ll kill it!
@DJCURRYBEATS19 thank you!
Most admissions are going to, or have gone to, score choice, including Stanford recently. So test away.
My nephew took the ACT 9 (yes 9) times. He got into every school he applied to, and chose Wash U.
@PepperJo wow! congratulations to him!
This is a popular fiction, but a fiction none the less. Colleges don’t care how many times you take the exam.
