SAT - January 2011 International discussion...

*****! I missed that stupid extra easy question about x+3 and ticked x-3 instead. The most dumbest mistake I’ve ever made! SOOO STUPID.

@soccerguy2617
I agree with your interpretation of the comic passage.That the author of the 2nd passage doesn’t think that comic should be a legit art form.

Anyway,we don’t have the consolidated answers for the questions yet right?

@ arcanis I think it was (x+4)'2. i chose this too. why do you think its wrong?

Those of you who had maths experimental, which one do you think it was?

^ I think the experimental section was the one with the Tuesday working guy and the graph question as a last question (something about the y-intercept = slope of graph).

@sahiscope: because the parabola is shifted to the left 4 units, thus it cannot be symmetric along the y axis. for example, if u plug in -2, it gives u 4, but if u plug in 2 it gives u 36, which obviously is not symmetric.

guys… i tell u the math started with
if m=
two of three triangles
and i dont remember the third section with what…:(

oh that was such a silly mistake I’ve made. and this section wasnt even experimental. I guess it was the one with grids so i am not safe. I hope the tuesday guy section is experimental.

do u guys remeber the question in the writing section about Mozart?
did u put a) :in or b) ;still in
anyone??

i put a. b wasnt making sense. and you?

i put b :frowning: because i thought that the writer has to emphasize that the concerts still take place today … anyone else?!

I put A for the Mozart thing.
Oh,did you guys remember the multiple of 4 question,about a set or something like that.

^ Yup I think I chose the one “Set of positive multiples of 2” or something along that line.

@illuminatedx
Awesome!I chose that too.

okay which is the correct math curve?? -1 760 or -1 780???

any 1 remembers question 35 in wr,it was asking about a word replacement,the answer was imitation i think,is this true?

@KingUncaged1
I think it’s -1 780

^ so why did they all say on that other thread that -1 is 760???

Does anyone remember the multiple of 4 question, about a set that Kimayu was refering to?

@KingUncaged1
Not sure.But according the curve that dark knight gave,it should be -1 780

@reflection09
I put multiple of 2 as my answer.

Anymore Math questions guys?

@Kimayu what were the choices available for that question? was there multiple of 4 as well?
Btw how was the writing section… anyone would like to discuss the essay?
