I am applying Early Decision to the Huntsman program which requires a language test. I am testing Chinese with listening in November. However, the ED deadline is November 1st and this chinese test is held once a year. Will they still accept my score if I send it the day of the test?
UPenn accepts November SAT and subject tests for determining ED admission as long as they arrive on time to be considered. To assure that happens, it is highly recommended that you idenitify Penn as a college in your test application to automatically receive scores upon release. That results in the fastest form of delivery – scores are usually sent to the college a day or two before you even get them online – but it means you need to send scores without first learning what they are.
Thank you for the detailed reply. Identifying Penn as a college in my test application would be on the day of the test on the bubble sheet, is that correct?
I also looked at the College Board website and it stated that you can only rush score sends once the scores are out? Is that true or did I misread it? Thank you so much
You can go online to your test application file and add Penn as one of the four colleges to which you can send the test scores for no extra charge. I would not wait until the day of the test to do that. Sending scores “rush” is something you can do only after your scores are released and is not as fast a delivery method as identifying Penn as a college to automatically receive scores in your test application file.
