So where is some learning material I can use to prep for the SAT? I find lots of “nearly official” practice test, but no material to learn, I specifically need math help. I find khan videos to not be to helpful, I feel like they just tell you how to answer one question not actually learn the concept. Are the videos from khan really like the test? I am thinking memorise what the problem looked like and how to solve it then just do that on the test. Example find look alike problem and remember how to solve it. Is that a good plan?
@nickerjackker I’d stick to a good old-fashioned math textbook for learning new concepts instead of a prep book containing practice tests - those generally assume you’ve been exposed to the material, and put more emphasis on preparing for the SAT itself.
This could easily backfire since so many problem types could be asked, and in many different ways. For example, if you knew how to solve equations such as
x^2 - 5x + 4 = 0
and if you were asked to find all real solutions to
x^4 - 5x^2 + 4 = 0,
Could you do it?
