SAT Lit prep books

yeah, i didnt know this section existed so i'll repost

which is the best and/or hardest reviewbook for the lit exam?

I’ve been working through the Princeton Review one and its average. It could go a bit deeper into strategies but I like how they include 4 practice tests and explanations. You definitely want to get a book that has explanations for the practice tests because for some questions on the Lit test, you’ll be banging your head against a wall to figure out why your answer is not correct.

Kaplan is great, 8 tests, good strategies and coverage of material.

Barron’s is hardcore as usual, but I found it helpful. PR review was WAY to bare bones, and its tests are the hardest imo

OMG i’m freaking out now after reading all the lit threads

i have not taken any AP lang or Ap english courses, and I got a 710 on my CR on my SAT I. the test is in 2 weeks and i have just begun studying…

any tips? should i cancel the test?! AH

the test is honestly very difficult to actually study for.

you’re either good at it, or you;re not.

good luck!

that is just dandy

CR scores and Literature scores don’t have a strong correlation. You could be better at Lit than CR–take a practice test to find out! And it’s not that hard to study for. I increased my score by 70 points by taking practice tests.
