Sat Lit Vs Cr

i was wondering what the comparison is b/w the cr section of sat1 and the lit sat2

i got 740 on CR
with this score, is it ok to just study the lang and comp spark notes book, which i got for AP?
do i even need to prepare for this test or is it just interpreting/close reading like in SAT cr

thanks for the help

It is nothing like the SAT I CR.
It is comparable to the MC section of the AP English LITERATURE and Composition exam.
I scored a 740 on CR too, but I kept scoring 600-650 on Collegeboard practice exams, so I decided not to take the SAT II Lit.

Try taking one or two actual practice exams, timed, to see how well you do.

thanks for your help!

hmm now im not sure if i should take it

if i decide to take the lit in oct next year, can i still apply early decision for schools

Yes, October scores will definitely be released in time for ED/EA applications. November scores may be accepted by some schools.

I second that lit is similar to the AP lit exam, and not much like CR at all. It is definitely harder, and if you decide to take it make sure you read a lot of poetry beforehand. I got 730 CR vs. 690 lit. Good luck.
