What? I signed up for this not knowing what it was. Well i found out when i bought the practice book. Is this test difficult? I am in AP english and do you think it correlates sort of? Im going to start studying today.

it's one of those tests that you can't really study for. i personally think it's a test that truly gauges one's intelligence, instead of just memorizing ability.

oh...is that why nobody takes it? haha

yeah im taking it too, and now im kinda scared. is it bad? i think im a pretty good reader so i was hoping that that's what would help.

I just started a diagnostic test and it doesnt seem too bad...i hope the ye olde poems arent so bad.

This test is a breeze. I bought the PR book but barely used it and got a 750. If you are strong in English its noooo problem.

English is my best subject next to history and from what Ive seen it looks to be that way...thanks for your help

I took the lit exam thinking it was easy, after some of my friends had done quite well. I'm pretty good at the whole english reading thing, but from what I went through, that test comes down to luck. I took one of the college board diagnostics, got a 740, and stopped studying (it's impossible to study anyway). Then on the real thing, there was what's known as a "beat" poem, which is basically just hippies from the 60's writing while on LSD, and a metaphysical poem about an egyptian fish-shaped artifact. To top it all off, they had the patent minority story which took about an hour to read because it was in southern dialect and there were some odd lingual nuances. I didn't even get to the last 7 questions (on my practice test I finished within 45 mins), and I received a 660. Basically, it can be really bad, so watch out, and pace yourself. I'm taking it again in may. Best of luck.

!!!!!

I just finished that diagnostic test and i did horribly! er. Im going to have to review all those terms. Although i think i shouldve been more focused idk.
