SAT Math 1 Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If angle A is an acute angle and sin^2A / Cos^2A = 2.468 , what is the value of tan A?

I have no clue how to solve this, HELP. Is there a calculator method for this? It's painful.

wait is that "to the power of" or "angle'?

sin squared!

SinA/cosA = tanA. That's a trig rule you should remember, it's really helpful! So:

(sin^2A)/(cos^2A) = (sinA/cosA)^2

And

(sin/cos)^2 = tan^2

So

sin^2A / cos^2A = 2.468
tan^2A = 2.468
tanA = rt(2.468)
tanA = 1.57

Thank you so much!
