Hi all, I am writing SAT 2 Math level 2 in a week or so and I have been practicing from the Barron's book.
The conics section in this book seems to be very very technical covering areas of directrix, focus and orientation in great detail.
I just wanted to understand in what depth does college board require us to know this topic to secure an 800...

You don’t really need to know all of that to get an 800. As long as you’re solid on other topics, you can theoretically leave out all the conics questions and still get an 800.

Yes but to what extent are conics on the test. Also, how difficult are the perm/comb questions on the math L2 test?

theres probably 1 or 2 stat question on perm/comb, usually on **** like what is the probability of getting heads at least 3 times when flipped 4 times. Conics is a joke on SAT II, if you have a graphing calc, ur good
