SAT Math Blue Book

Can anyone help me with...

400/18

This one has a diagram.

860/20

If k is a positive integer, which of the following must represent an even integer that is twice the value of an odd integer?
(A) 2k
(B) 2k + 3
(C) 2k + 4
(D) 4k + 1
(E) 4k + 2

Thanks in advance.

E. try k= 10

4(10) +2=42 , 42 is twice a odd number, 21

try b, 10(2)+3=23 no
try c, 10(2)+4=24, but that divided by two is even

so yeah E. HOPE I HELPED

for the diagram, the best i can say is try to pick as many odd points as possible, pick oen up to the curve, lower than the curve, and try them in and you will be able to cancel out. sorry im not much of a help, but it is truly a problem that is tough.
