SAT MATH? getting a 800?

Hey guys, so I'm taking the SAT in october, but i'm worried about my math section.
In january, I got 730 in math without really studying for it. BUT, now, when i take practice tests, i get like 2-3 wrong each section and get 660-680. I don't know what my problem is! I'm doing fine with SAT2 Math 2C, getting 700+!
Has anyone ever experienced this? Can you give me some advice on what i should do?
Thanks.

Yeah, you need almost a perfect score to get an 800 on SAT math (Math II, the curve is not as harsh). Try to avoid careless mistakes by being more organized (e.g. going step by step instead of scribbling somewhere)/checking your solutions.

Look at the general math tip posts. Also, if you’re using certain practice tests to study, they might be harder; also, you might be one of those people who do better under the right circumstances. If you find yourself dozing off or getting distracted or trying to do math without a calculator (to name a few things) during practice, get into the mindset that everything is the real test, and you might see your practice scores rise and be able to get a better assessment of where you are.

Do all the work on paper first. Mistakes are more commonly made from the calculator. Also, if gives you most confidence in the question.

Practice Practice Practice.

Ya I got an 800 and all I really did was take some practice tests. I don’t know how good you are at math, but they don’t make it difficult in the sense that you are completely stumped, rather, they like to put in tricks, nuances that are sometimes problematic. But you will understand how to look out and read them if you practice enough.

I think it is because you make mistakes frequently.
notice to reduce your mistakes.
Getting 800 in math section is not difficult.
