<p>Hey, I ran across a question which I cannot solve. I was wondering if any of you can help me solve it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks</p>

<p>The figure above shows an arrangement of 10 squares, each with side of length "k" inches. The perimeter of the figure is "p" inches. The area of the figure is "a" square inches. If p = a, what is the value of k?</p>

<p>The correct answer is 8/5 or 1.6, but I keep on getting the square root of 1.6 as the answer</p>

<p>This was my logic for it:
a=10k^2
p=a
p=10k^2
p=16k
16k = 10k^2
16=10k
k=1.6</p>
