<p>How do you do the first question on the above web page from Sparknotes? Their explanation makes no sense.</p>

<p>Yea I had the same problem, I figured they made a mistake. There’s alot of mistake on sparknotes…</p>

<p>Yep there are a couple mistakes here and there, but you get what you pay for.</p>

<p>Well, the answer is (C). It’s rather obvious once you plug in answer choices. With a calculator, you could subtract sin theta and graph the equation (on a TI-83 or 84) or just use the solve function on the TI-89. I’m pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with #1.</p>
