SAT Math II vs AP Calc BC

I got a 5 on the Calc BC test, but I got a 700 on the SAT Math 2. I know that 700 is on the much lower end of scores, but I was wondering if UCLA(and UC’s in general) would rather see a good AP Calc BC score and sightly worse off SAT Math II score. Will it hurt my chances? What do you guys think?

What major?

Aerospace engineering. Should also mention I’m currently taking Calc III at my local community college if that helps.

A 5 on the BC can slightly offset a below-average SAT Math 2 score (keep in mind, 700 is a pretty good score compared to the general applicant pool, but when you’re applying to engineering, you need to be closer to 800). My advice is to re-take the Math 2 and try to bump it up another 50 points to get a little closer to the average. Keep in mind that most of the applicants getting a 5 on the BC are probably getting 800s on the Math 2 as well.

I think they would rather you have both a 5 and a high 700’s-800 score on the SAT2.

Yea, exactly what alicantekid said, SAT2’s are an easy 800. AP’s are an easy 5. If you get 4’s or low scores on either, something is wrong.
