Hello!

I am currently studying for SAT Math Level-2 and I just registered for CLEP Precalculus.

I am wondering if preparing for SAT Math level-2 will also cover topics for CLEP Precalculus.

Did you check out the exam description for the CLEP Precalculus exam on the CLEP website (http://clep.collegeboard.org)? This description is fairly detailed on the knowledge and skill required. Here are the bigger categories: Representations of functions: symbolic, graphical and tabular (30%); Algebraic expressions, equations and inequalities (20%); Functions: concept, properties and operations (15%); Trigonometry and its applications (15%); Analytic geometry (10%); Functions as models (10%).

The description then breaks those categories down even further. If you do a google search on Precalculus and CLEP, you will find several websites that will list additional study resources. Again, you are the one studying for the SAT Math II exam, so you are the best one to compare the study material for both exams and see how they match up.

Good luck!

I’d say so. I bought a review book for Pre-Calculus (REA) and it seems just like what I taught myself for SAT II Math (mostly).

Yes most of the topics of SAT & CLEP Maths are covered while preparing for one of the exams. Because both the test include basics of Maths topics like Algebra (Equations, Quadratics, [Function Notation](http://math.tutorvista.com/calculus/function-notation.html), Exponents etc) Geometry (Pythagorean Theorems, Hypothesis, Graphs,), Sets, Logic, Percentages, Ratio Proportions.
