Two six sided dice are rolled. What is the probability that the sum of the faces showing up is greater than 4? I was fairly certain the answer was 5/6 but the book says it is 1/6… Is the book wrong?
I believe you are right. There are certainly fewer options for “sum of 4 or below” than for “sum of more than 4.”
