Hey all, my first SAT score in November was 740 CR 570 M 700 W

Through official 15-20 Math practice tests, I'm sitting at high 600s and low 700s. My last SAT will be in January. I've mostly struggled with keeping up with the test limit at times, and the fill in the blank sections are prone to errors. I want to see if I can hit the low 700s to mid 700s range.

I'm basically working until time runs out, scoring as is, and working through the problems I struggled with until I get them correct. I don't repeat practice tests and have basically hunted around for older official ones, or have ponied up the cash for the blue book and official course. 1 math practice test a day over break.

Does this seem reasonable? Is there anything I can improve in terms of strategy, really?

Math is the easiest section to improve on, so that’s awesome for you. And your study strategy sounds good, just don’t wear yourself out.

It sounds like you need to improve in speed, and the only way for that to happen is to do more problems. I would ignore the last one or two problems in each section because they often aren’t worth the time investment.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure I’m on the right track. This process has been frustrating for me since my is generally one of my stronger subjects…

It sounds like what I should do is if there’s one problem i know I can’t get in under two minutes, make an educated guess and skip it.

Having the same trouble as you mate although my problem is that I usually make a couple of careless errors and guess on questions I shouldn’t which often drops my score by around 20-30 points… All the best though :)
