SAT Math Question (Blue Book)

I would appreciate it if anyone would be kind enough to explain this question to me, here is the question from the blue book, page 426 #11

426-11 picture by calculix - Photobucket

(A) 1/128
(B) 1/64
(C) 1/32
(D) 1/16
(E) 1/7

Attempted Solution:
I let the whole rectangle equal 1, then made the half equal one half, then the quarter equal quarter, then 1/8 then 1/16 and finally I got to the solution that the shaded region is 1/32, but for some reason this is wrong?

The real answer is 1/64, why is this?

Wow, do I feel stupid. My approach was right and I would have had the right answer, had I not labeled 1/4 as 1/2 :p
