<p>In the xy-plane, line L has equation y=1/4X + 3 and line m has equation y=1/2x + b. If the lines intersect at the point with coordinates (t, 11/2 ), what is the value of b?</p>

<p>The answer is 5.5</p>

<p>I don't get it, i plugged in the Y and found X, then solved for B. I got .5 but its obviously wrong. Help!</p>

The intersection is at (10, 5.5) so .5 has the be it.</p>

<p>Are you sure 5.5 is the answer?</p>
