Sat math question

I'm in the blue book and there's a math question I'm stumped on:

Sqrroot(x^2-y^2) = 2t-x

If x and t are positive numbers that satisfy the equation above, what is the value of x/t?

It's a grid in and the answer is 5/4, but I dunno how they got that.

you copied the question wrong
it’s sqrt(x^2 - t^2) = 2t - x

square both side so you have x^2 - t^2 = 4t^2 - 4tx + x^2

subtract x^2 from both sides, add t^2 to both sides so you have 5t^2 - 4tx = 0

add 4tx to both sides, divide by t^2 so you have 5 = 4x/t

divide by 4 on both sides so x/t = 5/4

MAGIC

Thaaaanks! :)
