SAT Math resources/difficulty question

Hey guys. The Math portion is really the only section I struggle on, and I’m trying to work out a study strategy. The only problem is that my Barron’s book (which I have regarded to be the best source for test prep until now) is about 100 times harder than the SAT Up app I have (anyone else use it? Is it accurate?) as well as the PSAT. What would you regard as the best study tool for gauging how well you do against the math section?

Also, I’ve looked on Khan Academy and I do fine on levels 1-2 and start to get patchy after 3. What’s about the actual ratio of easy(lvls1-2) questions to medium(3) and hard (4-5) questions on the actual math section? And finally, what would you say is the best method in general to tackling the questions that are less straightforward? Is it just a “practice makes perfect” thing?

I already do the math reasoning tips they list at the beginning of the Barrrons book’ but often find they take a little too long. My logic is that every question can’t be so difficult that I have to use them for every question, but it seems true in the case of the examples Barron’s provides, so I’m a little worried.

Get the BB(CB’s book). Always study from CB’s tests. Practice does help a lot because you are able to understand the test. What’s your score on the math section?

SAT Up says around a 550 and I think that’s a pretty good approximation.

what jr12317 said. real cb practice tests are the most accurate study tools for the actual SAT. barron’s materials are always much more difficult than the actual test.
