Hi, I just took the SAT for the first time on Oct 1 (I'm a junior) and here are my scores:

Verbal: 680
Math: 500
Grammar: 690

So obviously...math is bringing me down haha. I am planning on retaking the test (obviously), probably in January. Which gives me about three months to prepare again.

I need advice! HOW DO YOU IMPROVE YOUR MATH SCORE?!?! I want to get at least 700. The highest I've scored on math on a model test is 660, so I think it may be doable but I don't know how to keep consistency. Please help!

First u have to familiar urself with all the math concepts so that u know how to use em. This is very important as it is the foundation of ur math skills.
During the test U have to read the question really carefully, make sure u understand it. A lot of people make mistakes because they concentrate too much on getting the answer instead of understanding what the question really wants.
Personally I think getting the questions correct the first time u do em is much better than catching up when u review ur answers, so be REALLY careful.

I think the most important thing when u practice for the SAT math section is not the amount of tests u do, but to understand each and every question.
Good luck~
