SAT Math vs. ACT Math

yeah another thing is I don’t think the Critical Reading is hard enough either
the writing is fine
but I really wished there were still analogy questions on the verbal
because I am extremely good at them
but yeah I would prefer seeing SAT 2400 only scored by 20-30 people instead of 384

^^Nahh, I like easy SAT math. And I certainly agree; the more you see these problems, the more obvious/easier they get.

@ rspence: Oh yeah. There was a pattern. Older tests: easier. Newer tests: more tricky. Hence, harder.

Now, the tests I’ve been taking are from the ACT Preparation Booklets so, I’m guessing they’re anything but inaccurate representations of what upcoming ACT tests will look like.

If you need to study the material, I think the SAT math is the way to go. The topics are simpler, but the problems are more layered. Once you understand all the concepts, all you need to do is to read the question carefully.

@riadapaki95, yeah, that makes sense. All of the AMC/AIME/USAMO/IMO exams have gotten harder over the past few decades. For example, 1959 IMO #1 is nearly as easy as an AMC problem today (with proof).
