So I think I made some dumb mistakes and got a 740 on SAT math.
Do you think colleges will overlook them if I get a 800 on Math subject test?

Also, I did better on other parts(CR and writing) but not good on math.
Would it be worth it to re take it to bring up my math score when I might score lower in te other two?

No, because they are different tests, with different material, different curves, and different importance in admissions.
Yes, it would be worth it to retake, if you improve significantly. Why would you score lower in the other two? Just keep studying all 3 sections and try to improve your total score (out of 2400).

Many colleges take the superscore of all your SATs, so it would probably be to your advantage to retake and improve your math score.
I second what crazybandit wrote. The tests as well as the materials covered are different. However, the colleges may overlook your so-so SAT math score if you have some distinctions that show you are robust in math, such as participation in USAMO and the likes.

Well its just that on this test I didn’t miss any vocabs and I usually miss 2-3. So I probably scored higher than usual. And I think I got an 800 in writing. This test was a little easy. But I messed up two of my math sections… How dumb.

And I know that it’s better if I dont take the SAT many times. I’ve taken it twice.
The first I got a 1700…
This time, I’m looking at a 2200. But the next might be lower… So idk :(
