SAT May 2012 Official Discussion

Share essay topics you guys had
any question u found hard post it. I think the embargo was lifted
I found the maths was pretty easy. But the essay topic was really hard

How do we know when we are allowed to talk about it?

Way easier than March so the curve will probably be rough

I had a nose bleed during the essay, and as a result was not able to finish my conclusion. Though, I believe I did strongly on the essay as a whole so hopefully the readers consider this when grading.

Vocab was harder in general.

Reading comprehension was abnormally easy. Can we talk about the actual questions?

Yeah, I didn’t like the essay topic and the vocab was difficult for me. But the rest was fairly easy-average.

any one remember math question like f(x)=f(-3) or something ?

The math question with root u^2 = 4 was such a trick question I put down 4

my test:
experimental: 25 min reading
CR: very hard vocab, easier passages
M: easy-ish on the whole, with a few curveballs
W: great essay question, average MCs

one was like 5 x J was 1 more then…took me a while the choices were 1/6 -1/6 -5 0 and not possible to answer

And I remember there was one about how many circles does the point fall in and it was 4. I had math experimental though so I don’t know which section was experimental
And the one about the verticies of a square was (6,-3)
The area of the shades triangles within the bigger one was 15 and the angle x in that question with the circle and 2 triangles in the middle was 60

the answer for that was 0 i think. Also i had experimental writing and one section was harder than the other so does anyone know which one was the experimental?

And there was something like how many solutions does this system have and I put more than 3 because I found that it was all real numbers
The one that was like which is not a value of x^2 I put 4

To whoever did not have a math experimental, do you remember having a question with children being in a line?

EDIT: guess i was wrong!

Oh yeah for the thing with how many 17 year olds I said I, II, and III all are true

I think I had a CR experimental, and I did remember that question. Confirm guys?

I didnt have math experimental but DO remember the line one.

Is that sarcasm cause that’s what i put
