Sat name change complication! Please contribute!

Hello Everybody!

I think this thread will be a little bit weird, but I'm in a complicated situation. So please help me out!
Initially, let's assume that my preferred name is "Sam" (how everybody calls me including teachers etc. ) and assume the other name as Jack. When first registering for the SAT, I registered as Sam and middle initial as J. Well, I know that sounds pretty normal right now. But let's move on.

As you know, the U.S. passport doesn't have a middle name part and all of the names are written at the first name section. So, on my U.S. passport, it is written as Jack Sam. Also, on my school transcript, it is written as Jack Sam. But, on teacher recs. of course I will be mentioned as Sam because that's how everybody calls me! Plus, I'm going to Harvard Summer School to receive college credit this summer and I am also registered as Jack Sam there (so on Harvard SS transcript, it will also write Jack Sam.)

With this complicated situation, would you recommend me to call College Board and change my name from Sam J. to Jack Sam? Because I heard that colleges require to register with the name exactly you registered for the SAT.

I will be abundantly pleased to receive your valuable comments! Thanks in advance! (Prospective parents, don't ever think to give a middle name to your kid for God's sake!)

Bump! Somebody! Please!

a) passports do have a designated section for your middle name

b) just make sure you use your SSN on everything and they’ll just identify you with that. Changing your name with CB wouldn’t hurt either.

I know that passports do, but as far as I know U.S. passport doesn’t have one ( correct me if I’m wrong ). I’m telling this based on my and my brother’s U.S. passports. We both have middle names but they are written on the first name section. However, I think the thing you’re suggesting is SSN will indicate everything, right?
