how do i make my scores more competitive before june sat</p>
<p>Get tutored or take online practice tests. They actually help. I went from a 1470 on my PSAT’s to a 1640 my first time taking SAT’s only with a math tutor
530 in math and CR and 580 on writing. Just study up and your score will rocket up. Minimize errors as well and omit ones your absolutely not sure of. Strategy is a huge part as well. Best of Luck!</p>
<p>you could take a course if you are willing to pay for it. i took one which i thought was worth it. i ended up with a perfect math score.
if you don’t want to spend the money, detailed score reports come out april 5th i believe (for the march test). look at what type of questions you are getting wrong and practice with the collegeboard official sat study book. if you get used to the problem types you will increase your score a lot. also make sure you are skipping the ones you aren’t sure of - guess if you can narrow it down to 2 or 3. otherwise skip.
don’t worry about essay writing. an 8 essay is pretty average. i got an 8 essay and a 730 writing score

<p>Best thing to do would be to take practice tests in the blue book (official SAT studyguide) and go through each practice test. You might want to consider a course where they offer strategies to help you score better, but practice is probably the best.</p>
