SAT noob question--First time SAT test taker

hey guys i will be taking the SAT for the very first on October (as a rising Junior)..
I have heard from people that took it before that "new" rules have allowed students to essentially pick their best score from each category from various sittings

So hypothetically speaking, could I take it as many times as i want and submit my best scores? Do the colleges see the number of times I have taken it? and if so does the number of times taking it effect my college admissions chances

I am trying to apply to UVA (in state) and VT (in state) and know for a fact that both superscore...

Yes, with the new rules you can take the test as many times as possible and the college will only see the score you want to send*.

But that doesn’t mean much. Your score won’t improve amazingly beyond the first test unless you do some serious hardwork.

UVA requires decent scores, so it’ll take some work to get in.

*Few universities require all scores sent

wow thanks, that makes me feel a whole late better of the college process
