SAT November 2010 too late for ED?

For the colleges I'm looking into, they require the SAT/ACT and 2 SAT Subject Tests. I've already taken each of them, but my scores aren't so great (2080 SAT, 31 ACT, 610 SAT II Literature, 610 US History, 690 Math 2). I'd like to retake them since they're definitely not enough for the schools I'm looking at.

The next SAT dates are in October and November; so I'd have to take the SAT in October and SAT II in November (or vice versa). However, I'd like to apply Early Decision to Columbia U (or another college of similar level); what should I do? Is taking the test in November too late? Or can I still send my scores after the ED deadline?

I also thought about retaking the ACT and SAT II's both in October to be in time for ED (since I can't take the SAT and SAT IIs on the same day).

What should I do? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Columbia accepts the November test from ED applicants:

There are so many of these threads. I’d recommend using the search button in the future because I have answered this question many times. It depends on the school. Some allow and accept the November test date for ED, while others don’t. You can either call the admissions office and ask them personally or find it on their respective college websites (most have that information on it).

I personally don’t see your rush in applying ED. Your scores, like you stated, are relatively on the lower spectrum of the applicant pool applying to Columbia. If I were you, I’d take the SAT/2s without a time constraint and apply RD. Unless you have a really good reason for applying ED, I don’t see the point in pressing yourself for time.

you can definitely take the tests and still apply ED.

Thanks so much for the replies!

I think I’ll take the ACT in Sept., Subject Tests in Oct., and SAT in Nov.; hopefully my ACT scores will be high enough so I won’t have to worry about sending in other scores after the deadline. But we’ll see. Anyway, thanks again!
