SAT OCTOBER 2009 Experimental??????

hjlee: could you post a link to what youre talking about?

mmwhatyousay,

my test had sections 3, 4, 7, 9 math. i agree with you that 4 and 9 aren’t experimental (because 4 was grid in and 9 was 20 mins).

I definitely did not have a question with flag bearers and marching band-ness

i can’t remember the pyramid question!! can you remember anything else about it? or was it from the same section as the flag bearers?

@ iheartivy

-damn i forget man…

but check this

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/791421-october-2009-sat-math.html

@mmwhatyousay

check the same website out

@ i heart ivy

well the marching band problem was section 3 and the pyramid q was the last question in section 7.

it was something like the formula (1/3s2)=V
and the volume was 64 and the side was 8. and i think the answer was 20? lol

which section do u think is experimental?

K so the math experimental section was 3
… relatively certain

ahhh this is so confusing. wow. i can’t remember pyramid or marching band and they were from different sections… i must have a terrible memory…

haha. if anyone remembers any details about those questions please enlighten me.

for experimental critical reading, did anyone have sections 2,3, and 6 or 7 all CR?

experimental reading was sect 3 i think, with the word prolix as one of the answers

how about writing experimental??

it was definitely 4 or 6 for me. since it’s…obviously not 10.

i think the experimental section number is different for people with different SAT booklet covers. I had a blue cover.

and…my friend had an extra CR. but it was 4, 6, 7, 9

I think the experimental one is the background color for Math, the one other than hybrid car for writing and the one with band for CR. Mine was the Math section.

@sixstring91

yes i had exactly this. and i think 3 was experimental, i had a dual passage section about the effects of texting and email communication - nobody else i know got this section. so i’m pretty sure it was section 3. my others were nikhil, geology, and woman art.

i also had 4 CR sections… got nikhil, geology and women art… so yeah. i guess that was your experimental.

section 4 and 5 were both math 25 minute sections for me. Does anyone know which of these was the expieremental section?

i had two 34 question writings -.-, so one of them is definitely experimental

I really hope the CR experimental was section 3, does it matter that it only had like 23 questions

I think there was an experimental writing part. cuz the writing is just supposed to be the essay, the last 10 min part and one 25 min part but i had two of them so deffinitly one of the wirting sections.

thats weird i didn’t get any texting / email commnication passages?

when does college board tell us the expieremental?

They’ve already done. To know which sections are experimental, go check CB’s website:
