i want to apply to upenn ED. can i still take the SAT on nov. 1 (the day the ED apps are due?) would i have to rush my test scores? how do you rush test scores anyway? thanks in advance.

i'm curious as well

Yes, you can take them.
I e-mailed my regional director and he said it's fine as long as you tell them you're doing the November 1st ones, and you rush it.
I also have to rush my ACT scores cuz the test is on the 25th of October.

Where do you find out the emails for your regional director. I could only find phone numbers.

Go to the directories link on the Penn website. But use caution. Adcoms can get ****ed if you e-mail them too much.

Here is his direct quote when I asked him:
"If you rush November scores to us, we should get them in time to process your Early Decision application. Please make sure to indicate when you submit your application that you have 11/1 test results pending, as your file will likely reach me before the scores…indicating that you have rushed 11/1 testing allows us to add those scores to your file when they reach us. Also keep in mind that if you take only the SAT I, we required two subject tests, if you take the ACT with writing, we require zero subject tests, but you may send them if you think they will help you."

thanks for the quote! how do you rush test scores?

You pay extra to the college board to rush them on their website.

and you pay them extra after you get your test scores or before?

Before you even take the test.

^
i thought you can't rush until after??

Actually, I don't even remember anymore, but last year I could opt to rush before I took the test.
Gotta go check now, or I'll just call up collegeboard.

wow I've had this question in mind of for a long time..

bump (10char)

I'd like to know too! How to rush score reports?

yes, yes anyone?

SAT Fees

"Rush reporting service $27
plus
$9.50
for each report"

collegeboard is ridiculous for charging so much!
so it would cost $36.50 to rush it.

hmm so is that after?

Wow, that's horrible!
And I'm a low income student using the fee waivers, and yet they don't expect that a low income student might need rushing waivered, omg wow.

i was about the post the same question! haha

but i'm also wondering, will that be at my disadvantage? b/c they might think that i'm a slacker and waited till the last minute to finish the SAT's
