Hello, I'm starting the application process and a lot of schools that say SAT or ACT w/ writing now on their application say they want me to pay to send my scores from every test I've taken to the school.

The problem is while my ACT is great (34), my SAT is not (2020) for these schools like Georgetown and Yale. Can I just submit my ACT score (at least on the common app)? since they only need test of tests (I've taken the ACT twice)?

Yale is particularly confusing because they have contradictory information on their website and what I was messaged from a student working at admissions and on their application concerning if I have to send in all scores from all tests or just all my ACT scores.

If anyone knows the solution that would be great

For Yale see [Frequently Asked Questions - Standardized Testing | Yale College Admissions](<a href=“Standardized Testing | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions”>Standardized Testing | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions) and click on Q relating to having taken both SAT and ACT to get answer. Yale requires you to send either all SAT and SAT II scores, or, alternatively, all ACT scores. In determining admission Yale uses either SAT and two SAT IIs, or, alternatively, the ACT standing alone. Thus if you send subject tests you must send SATs. Yale actually clarified its all scores position this year and thus if you are seeing other information that you think might say that you may have to submit all scores from all tests but it is unclear, it is likley something left over from last year.

Georgetown’s stated policy is incomprehensible and thus you should contact it to find out what its bureaucrats actually meant on the website.

There are not many schools that require you to send both all SATs and all ACTS but Standford and Penn do require that.
