SAT or ACT for STONY BROOK

I was wondering when I apply to stony brook is there a disadvantage if I don't send in my SATs and only the ACTS. I havent taken the ACT but on practice tests I've been getting around 25 out of 36 without studying so I know I can improve but my sats are in the 1600s. My math is about 650-700 but I cant get my reading above a 550 which is I believe bad. I going to take the SAT one more time. Should I bother sending in the SAT with the ACT or just the ACT.

THANKS

In NY the SAT is what most kids take so I would send it just to be safe.

Send both; it doesn’t matter which you take. The average this year will probably be about a 28 ACT or a 1240 reading+math SAT. Good luck!
