Unless you can manage a major improvement on practice SATs, stick with the ACT. A 30 is equivalent to a 1320-1350 on the old SAT, or about 1950-2050 on the new. That said, your score is kind of low by Princeton standards (even considering the URM).

So I shouldn't persue the SAT then? Do you think my SAT would rise if I practiced and prepped? I know it will, but I mean, is it worth it to kill myself over? What is a good prep book, like RocketReview, for the ACT?

Your score should improve on either of them if you practice! I have the PR books for both and so far have gotten into the SAT one more, and will follow with official stuff, but like them a lot. My practice scores have already gone up. Just practice!!

I have a problem with looking at the problems that I've missed. I think it is random the questions that you get, and only at certain times that I would make a decision as I did, if that makes sense.

I see that your reading score is a little low. I had the same problem. On the first ACT I took, I had a 28 on reading, then for the week before the second time I took the ACT, I read like 5 books, and managed to get a 35 on the reading. I don't know if it'll work for you, but I would suggest doing a lot of reading either way. :D

You should consider that you have an applicable test issue with Princeton if you decide to apply. Its official policy is that it accepts the ACT only if all other colleges to which you are applying require the ACT and do not accept the SAT in lieu thereof. That effectively means you must submit the SAT for admission to Princeton since vitually all other colleges accept either the SAT or ACT.
