SAT or ACT? Looking for opinions.

I am a rising sophmore at a fairly competitive public high school in California. After taking the PSAT as a freshman, I got a 178. I've been working a lot this summer but cannot seem to get my score above a 210 on any practice test I've taken. Meanwhile, just to try it out, I took an ACT practice test for the first time ever and got a 33.

Is it worthwhile to continue working on my PSAT/SAT scores or should I just stick to the ACT and work on getting a 36?

The first question you should ask is: Are you more of an intuitive thinker? Or do you succeed more in explicit do-you-know-how-to-answer-this type questions?

If you fall more on the former, I’d stick with the SAT, but if you are more of the latter I’d go with the ACT. It’s probably pretty unwieldy to prep for the two tests, so go with what fits you.

I say try the real SAT one time and if you can get a score you like than stick with SAT but you should def give ACT a try!!! I scored kinda low on the SAT so I try the ACT and end up getting better scores than the SAT!
