MY SAT I score is 2240 (750,730,750 for CR,Math,Writing). I have two SAT subject scores of 740 (math) and 760 (chem).

MY ACT composite score is 32 with a 7 in the writing segment.

The colleges that I am applying to require either the SAT subject subject test Or ACT with writing. Is there any advantage in my sending my ACT scores to colleges in addition to SAT subject scores? Do you think my score of 7 in the writing segment will dilute my SAT scores?

Thanks in advance for your insights

Your SAT is better, point blank. Your ACT is very good, but not as good. Your SAT corresponds to just under a 34 ACT. Your SAT writing score also comes off as better than your 7 essay score for your ACT. I see no reason to send in the ACT. While it won’t hurt you, as your score is very good, I doubt it will help you.

lol don’t you mean 2230? can’t even add up your own sat score huh?

Sorry for the typo. It is 2240 (CR 760, Math 730,Writing 750).

Thank you hopeful_underdog, for your comments.

I agree that I would not pay the extra money to send your ACTs. Your SAT’s are very strong and are higher than your ACT score. Pay for the one report which will also take care of your SAT IIs.
