dear all,

So, I took the SAT and well, yeah, I pretty much flopped it...I got a 1680 (please, don't faint. life shall go on!...i started panicking both times i took it i don't know why i do i just go crazy). But, i did a little better on the ACT, and from previous practice tests, it shows i should get b/t a 28 and a 30 on the next ACT.

For one, is it better to submit the SAT or the ACT?

And for two, what is the avg. sat and act score at harvard?

and ok, for three, what is an "acceptable" sat subject test score?

thanks!!

I am personally fonder [is that a word?] of the SAT, and I have already gotten into a fight over this, but the GC's say that the ACT is intrepreted as an easy way out from those who don't do very well on the SAT's [but that's what they tell me, not what I know]. Also, I believe that the middle 50 for the old SAT was what 1400-1590 [don't know what it is with writing though I'd figure something like 700-790]. Also, I generally hear that breaking 700 on the SAT II's is good enough and a 750 would put you in really good shape. So good luck with everything :D

i'm a proponent of the ACT, because there is much less test prep needed for it, and it seems more well rounded. plus, it's a shorter test to take, by nearly an hour, which makes a difference.
