I got a 31 on my ACT after taking it for the first time and a 2260 after taking the SAT for the first time. I am happy with the 2260 but I think my ACT would improve to a 33 or 34 by taking it again but I am not planning on applying to any ivies or other highly prestigious schools. My GPA and APs are all quite good and I should be a national merit finalist. My question is would it be worth it to take the ACT another time or should i only send my SAT?

Unless you are dying to spend the prep time and the money, there really isn’t any reason to take either of these exams again. You can just declare yourself done.

A 33 ACT is roughly equivalent to 2190 SAT, and a 34 to 2260 SAT. So there’s no compelling reason for you to retake the ACT since your SAT is very good, and you can send that.

^i agree with fogcity’s concise, thorough, and logical response. Your done with ACT/SAT. Move on to SAT II’s now.

Thanks for the help. What are SAT II’s and why should I take them?
