September ACT with barley any studing 23 (E 23 M 28 R 21 S 20) essay 8
December ACT with studying 23 (E 23 M 27 R 21 S 20) essay 10-hard test might have had a bad day, never took a full practice tests
March SAT 1730 (E 560, M 640 R 530)- studied for 3 months took 6 practice tests that I got consistent 1800s-1900s

I think the 1730 SAT looks more impressive than the 23 ACT. I don’t think you’ll score much higher on the ACT if you take it again, but I think you have potential to do better on the SAT if you take it again.

Spend more time in preparation and do as many timed practice test as possible. Also try practice tests from different sources. You may check your local library or exchange prep books with your classmates. My daughter got 300+ more points after 20 or so practices.

Do other people think I should stop focusing on ACTs and focus on SATs? My goal is to raise my score 400 points on the October test. Studying I took 6 practice tests (bluebook) and had a McGraw hill prep book. Would buying a Princeton or Barron’s book help increase my score? I was also thinking of taking a Princeton review intensive class over the summer. How much should I study and how should I study with my score breakdown and goal. I really need to do well in October.advice?
