does it matter if i just take the ACT, or is the SAT required at Umich? would it hurt if i sent in just my act score(31) with no SAT...?
much help is needed amigos

No preference(like every school in the nation except CalTech I believe).

Also, this is the midwest, ACT is much more popular than the SAT.

check if U Mich requires only the ACT and no sat 2's if u take the ACT. If so, just try taking the ACT again and study but you wont have any pressure on you since a 31 is an excellent score

i took 2 SAT IIs
Us history was 710 and math i was 680
...
so are u saying i dont need an SAT score if i have those two SAT IIs and an ACT?

Yeah you don't need an SAT score.

ok thats tight, because the next SAT date is september and i want to get these applications sent out in early august

nah as in if u take the ACT, u wont need SAT 2's period; alot of schools have that

Even if you submit the SAT, you don't need SAT IIs. Michigan does NOT require SAT IIs.

ACT is very big in the west coast and up north.. if your going there.

do most OOS kids send in 1 or 2 SAT IIs though? i suppose it wouldnt hurt, just curious

Seems like more people from the east coast take the SAT. But it doesn't really affect your chances if you do the ACT instead.
